Swift 4 Repairs is the provider and administrator of this Home Appliance Cover Plan.


What Is This Cover Plan For?

This Service Cover Plan is designed to protect your home appliances against unexpected breakdowns, including electrical faults, mechanical failure, and accidental damage.

If a covered appliance stops working due to a sudden and unforeseen event, we will arrange repair services which may include call-out charges, inspection, parts, and labour, subject to your policy terms and limits.

This agreement forms a 12-month service contract between you and Swift 4 Repairs. Please read all policy documents carefully to understand your level of cover.


How to Make a Claim

If you experience an issue, please contact us during working hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm (excluding public holidays)

We will:

  • Verify your policy and covered appliances
  • Attempt remote troubleshooting where possible
  • Arrange an engineer visit if required (usually within 24 hours)
  • Request supporting documents where necessary (e.g. proof of purchase)

If your appliance cannot be repaired, we may:

  • Replace it with a similar model, or
  • Provide a settlement based on current market value, within policy limits

You may be required to:

  • Keep the appliance available for inspection for up to 30 days
  • Provide relevant documentation upon request
  • Supply proof of purchase when required

Failure to provide requested information may result in your claim being declined.


Replacement of Appliances

If you replace any covered appliance during your policy period, you must inform us. Failure to update appliance details may result in your claim being rejected.


Parts & Repairs

Our engineers carry commonly used parts. If additional parts are required:

  • You will be informed of any delays
  • Parts may be sourced from third-party suppliers
  • Repairs will be scheduled once parts are available

If parts are obsolete or unavailable (or delayed beyond 28 days), we may be unable to complete the repair. In such cases, alternative solutions will be offered in line with your policy.


Policy Limits

  • There is no limit on the number of claims you can make
  • Each claim is subject to a maximum value per appliance as stated in your policy certificate

Appliance Restrictions

  • Appliances of any age may be covered
  • Appliances over 10 years old may be subject to additional excess or review
  • Certain high-value appliances may affect pricing or cover limits

Waiting Period

A 60-day waiting period applies from the start date of your policy.

Any faults occurring within this period are not covered.

Emergency assistance may be available on a chargeable basis.


Cancellation

You may cancel your policy within 14 days (cooling-off period) of purchase.

  • No claims made → Full refund
  • If a claim has been made → Refund adjusted based on usage

After 14 days:

  • No claims → Pro-rata refund (admin fees may apply)
  • Claims made → No refund applicable

Monthly or subscription-based plans may be non-refundable after cancellation, depending on usage.


Policy Duration & Renewal

Your cover runs for 12 months and will automatically renew unless cancelled.

Renewal pricing may change based on:

  • Claims history
  • Inflation
  • Length of time on cover

You will be notified of any changes before renewal.


Missed Payments

If a payment is missed:

  • Your policy may be temporarily suspended
  • Claims cannot be processed during suspension
  • Policy may be cancelled after 30 days of non-payment

All outstanding balances must be cleared before cover is reinstated.


Change of Address

You must inform us if you move home so we can review and update your cover accordingly.

Failure to do so may affect your eligibility for claims.


Complaints

If you are unhappy with our service, please contact us directly. Only the policyholder or an authorised representative may raise a complaint.


Fees & Payments

By purchasing this plan, you agree to all applicable fees and charges.

  • Payments are taken in advance
  • Subscription plans renew automatically
  • Fees are non-refundable unless stated otherwise

All materials and parts remain the property of Swift 4 Repairs until full payment has been received.

  • Fridge / Freezer
  • Cooker & Hob (Gas & Electric)
  • Oven (Gas & Electric)
  • Dishwasher
  • Microwave
  • Washing Machine
  • Tumble Dryer
  • Vacuum Cleaner

What Is Not Covered

This plan does not cover:

  • Manufacturer recalls or warranty issues
  • Damage due to misuse, neglect, or incorrect installation
  • Commercial or business use
  • Theft, fire, flood, or extreme weather damage
  • Routine maintenance or cleaning
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
  • Unauthorised repairs
  • Consumables (e.g. bulbs, batteries, fuses)
  • Pre-existing faults before policy start date
  • External events such as war, terrorism, or government action
