REFUNDS & CANCELLATION POLICY
HOME APPLIANCE COVER PLAN


HOW DO I MAKE A CLAIM?

If an incident occurs at your property which is covered by your policy, please call the claims number and we will arrange for the issue to be handled in accordance with the terms and conditions of your Home Appliance Cover Plan.

Claims must be made by you or someone acting on your behalf as soon as you become aware of the issue. We will not cover the cost of any work carried out without our prior authorisation.

Please have your Home Appliance Cover Plan number ready when calling. Our engineer may also request to see your policy documentation upon arrival.

If your plan includes an excess, you must pay the excess amount stated in your policy for each claim. We will then cover the remaining cost up to the applicable claim limit. Excess payments are taken at the time of booking the claim.

We accept payment via Mastercard and Visa only. Each unrelated claim requires a separate excess payment. Your excess will be refunded if the claim is cancelled before the engineer attends or if the issue is found not to be covered after inspection.


HOW LONG IS MY POLICY FOR?

Your policy runs for a period of 12 months unless cancelled earlier by you or by Swift 4 Repairs. Your cancellation rights are outlined below.


HOW CAN I CANCEL MY POLICY?

If you wish to cancel your policy, you (as the named policyholder) or an authorised representative must contact us:

This agreement becomes legally binding from the date you agree to the policy (whether online, by phone, or in writing).

You have the right to cancel within 14 days.


HOME APPLIANCE COVER PLAN PREMIUM

Within the 14-day cancellation period:

If no claim has been made, you will receive a full refund

If a claim has been made, you will receive a refund minus the cost for the time you have been covered


Outside the cancellation period:

If no claim has been made, you will receive a pro-rata refund based on the remaining time

If a claim has been made, no refund will be issued and any remaining premium must be paid


Monthly Payment Plans:

If you pay monthly, you must select a cancellation date. Any outstanding payments must be settled. Cover will remain active until the chosen cancellation date.


HOW CAN SWIFT 4 REPAIRS CANCEL YOUR POLICY?

We may cancel your policy in the following circumstances:

By giving you at least 7 days’ written notice

If you breach the terms of your policy (e.g., missed payments, fraudulent claims, abusive behaviour)

If you provide inaccurate or incomplete information under the Consumer Insurance (Disclosure and Representations) Act 2012


WHAT IF I MISS A PAYMENT?

If you fail to make a payment on time:

Your policy may be suspended, and you will not be able to make a claim

Swift 4 Repairs will notify you within 5 working days

If payment is not made within 30 days, your policy will be cancelled

If you wish to make a claim while your policy is suspended, all outstanding payments must be cleared first

Any unpaid premium must still be settled even after cancellation
